Wirral Junior Chess Congress
The 3rd Junior Congress took place at Ladymount Primary School in Pensby on Saturday 3rd March -
It was another excellent event and we will bring the results and some pictures here soon.
The ECF have produced a coaching page which include the new publication called the Right Move -

The AGM was at the Electric Club in Capenhurst on Monday, 24th July.
Agenda and previous Minutes -
The main decisions were a return to 1 up and 1 down from each division and because of the demise of the NMS in its previous form, the AGM decided not to be prescriptive but to allow clubs to make their own minds up in terms of ECF, NMS or game fee. However, we asked each club to be consistent for its own members and adopt one of these 3 positions.

The Wirral League comprises 10 Clubs from Wirral and the surrounding area - Buckley Mold, Caergwrle, Capenhurst, Chester, Formby, Frodsham, Hoylake, Pensby, Wallasey and Wrexham. Between them the Clubs enter 29 Teams in the 3 Divisions. There is also a Knockout Competition.
